Korbah’s modification for Dawn of War, dubbed DoWPro, now has its own ladder at Gamedrome. You can sign up here, and you will need the DoWPro Mod as well as Dawn of War.
DoWPro is a user-made unofficial modification for Dawn of War that focusses on balance tweaks rather than sweeping gameplay changes. It offers an alternative to the official balancing and has a sizeable playerbase.
You can discuss this development here.

Why should we care? The mod is buggy as hell; why on Earth do thermo-plasma generators cost 16,000 power to build /at minimum?/ (The cost multiplies the more plasma generators you have, you see.)

The mod isn’t buggy, and stop exaggerating just because you played it for 2 seconds and decided you didn’t like it. Everything is done for a reason in this mod. Generators have a cost scaling effect, in other words generators start off cheap but each time you make one it adds slightly to the cost. This is done to extend Tier 2 and lessen the power of fast vehicle rushes.

Awesome work, f4lx. Me and my buddy are having a great time playing and thank you for the work you’ve done because we are once again enjoying DOWI
I would write more but I want to get back to playing.

I just played DoWPro 1.55 with Eldar and my first impression is quite good. They kept features of the original DoW, added the Winter Assault stuff and expanded it for few units and some unit features.
As far as balancing is concerned I cannot say anything about the fairness of all races before having played a lot more what I surely will.
